A short story about the Croatian Checkerboard
Everyone knows that a red & white checkerboard is Croatian National Symbol. But, do you know how this symbol came to be what it is? After researching this subject I was amazed how educational and especially entertaining the history of Croatia as a whole is. Croatian checkerboard went throughout twists & turns for centuries. Even legend how it came to be. Take a look and see for yourself. Just a note: my intentions are just to the facts and not a bit political.

Croatian Folk groups around the WorldThere would be hard to find a country in the western World were Croatians did not immigrate. Throughout the years they wanted to keep their traditions alive including music, dances, and costumes. We found few of such companies and ensembles and we're proud to show them to you. If you have a picture of such a group send it to us. We'll be glad to include them it this show for the whole World to see. Thanks for watching and as always: Have fun!
Croatian football (soccer) fans
Croatians had always been a force in football (or soccer) and so were Croatian fans. What apparently changed lately is the ladies force. Croatian women got involved in soccer in a major way. One would ask the reason for that. Well, it could be that they come to stadiums across the World to root for their teams. Another reason could be that checkered and red white and blue short dresses, bras, Tshirts, short pants, long pants, hats, socks, gloves, belts and other parts of women's wardrobe look very beautiful and provocative on them, especially when leaning forward and screaming GOOAL. Well, you judge for yourself. Anyway, watch the video and have fun.
Did you know that Croatian models are recognized around the World as the best models in the industry? Beautiful, smart, intelligent and above all professional, they are sought from Paris to Rome to Hollywood. Just take a look at these beautiful models and judge for yourself.
Mali Losinj Part 3. The sunniest place on the Adriatic
Besides being the sunniest place on the Adriatic, ML is just about the only island community that grows in population and economy. Why? Water! The Vrana lake on neighboring Cres Island is a God's gift to these places. A small river way far over the Velebit Mountain in the Lika region suddenly disappears into the ground then travels under the bottom of the sea floor and appears where today is Lake Vrana. Hope you find this video interesting. Thanks for watching.

Maskare Mali Losinj
Christmas in CroatiaCroatia is predominantly a Roman Catholic country, therefore the Christmas holiday is observed and celebrated throughout the land. Presents are bought, food is being prepared by the way of old traditional recipes, everyone is in a kind of pleasant rush (for a change). All in all not much different than everywhere throughout the Christian World. After all don't we deserve it after over 5 decades of communism? I think we deserve it. video embed code by VideoLightBox.com v3.0
